Ajaxload.info provides an Ajax “loading animation” transition GIF creator, within a simple click to setup the color and style that you want. “Spinner” effect is my favorite, better uses as flickr showcase, photo album with lightbox actived. It looks cool!

I also found an Ajax activity indicator page where you can set the background color (B&W) before you’ve download these.
