Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows you to ’spread’ and read other users’ updates, which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.
Here I list out the most interesting and practical Twitters apps and I hope you’ll find them useful. As you can tell, there are many different Twitter apps that you can use on your Mac (we will get to windows based apps next time). They all offer different advantages – some have support for multiple services, some let you shorten URLs, and some have multiple tabs for you to see different tweet streams.
If you find a different app that you like and want to share with everyone, let us know in the comments and I’ll post it as an update! Adobe air suggestion will be posted next time.

I can’t wait to have everything in just *one* place again.
Twitter and Adium should co-operate quite well - they’re both birds, after all…
