Lately I been think about the new design scenario for Rorol Studio, a brand new web app development studio. The interface of front-end needed to be revamped entirely all from scratches. It’s nice to work with talented people and we talk about any ideas and go through every details, make sure everything is fine and deliver it as we expected. (It will launch soon)
I’ve been assigned to leading the design over there, it’s challenge and fun! I’ll get back to you guys with an official update soon.
M$ just about released its first beta verison of IE8 to public a hour ago, it really brought my attention back and would like to having a tryout to see if it’s been massive improved.
The team has officially announced that ie8 will interpret web content in the most standards compliant way and now ie8 renders Acid2Face correctly.
Here is the official download for IE8beta1 @ microsoft.
It’s so funny, bring your desktop… can’t imagine what if you’re doing the same in China, the shop manager may sweep you out.

gAlwaysIdle is a small project by a former Microsoft developer. It enables you to set the status of Gtalk client with an extra option of being Idle permanently without actual leaving your computer, preventing unexpected disturbs (people normally didn’t buzz you while you’re not in front of computer). It supports XP SP2 and vista, grab it here and digg it.
Our lunar new year getting closer (tomorrow), since the snow slams Southern China, the government has officially shut down many highway and railway transportation services, millions of passengers and migrant workers were stranded at railway stations and airports, anxiously attempt to get home for their family reunions on the new year eve.
Hopefully the weather could change better and I wish you all can get home very soon. Good luck to you all and happy lunar new year!

Like many of you guys, it’s an usual thing to spend 1-2 hrs with your laptop on the bed, watching movies, browsing around or even check out your porn newsletters… I’m actually quiet happy with an off-keyboard experience - some mouse-clicking work, until I’ve encountered this: Safari does NOT have a GO button (both FF and IE does).
It actually brought me another issue: I have to leaning on my pillow and hit Enter key. I just about installed that bitch Safari (no offense Mac user, I still love you!) for few weeks and this is all I get? Hello, Steve, focus! Yeah, I know. you’re about going to saying something like:
If you are changing the address, you usually need to use the keyboard, right? So if your nasty fingers are already at the keyboard, why not just hit Enter?
Well… you don’t get it, like I mentioned before, I really enjoy that moment of mouse clicking experience, comparing with Firefox and IE browsers so I’ve did a little research by googling, it seems there is no way to having that little green button back on Safari, I give up on this.
I’ve switch back to Firefox and try to keeping me happy. One thing for sure, I’m not judging the quality of Apple, personally I’m not familiar with OSX, please do let me know if there is some alternative way to make it happened. I’m glad that you can share it with me.
