Remove Bonjour

If you’re running Adobe CS3 Suite, you might already have the Bonjour service installed on your system automatically and it run as a system service:“##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##”
(you can found it in windows services management)
WTF was that? First of all, I thought it was some nasty spyware came along with CS3 install file, after I’ve goggling for a while, I’ve been told it’s no risk at all, here is an official note from Adobe. It might not messing up with your system in anyway, but I don’t want it doing its little homework in my backyard and try to send any information throughout my weak firewall. Good news is that there is a certainly way to remove it from your system service and registry manually, say goodbye to Bonjour from now on:
1. Open a Windows command prompt and type the following command:
“C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe -remove”
2. Navigate to the following folder in Windows Explorer: C:\Program Files\Bonjour
3. Rename the mdnsNSP.dll file in that folder to mdnsNSP.old
4. Restart your computer
5. Delete the the Program Files\Bonjour folder
Web Trend map
It’s amazing! The 2007 Web trend map, visualized and produced by a Japanese firm as the subway map of Tokyo, where each station shown as a momentum of website. Very creative!

Oops! Illustrator CS3 Crashed while Print Spooler service turned off
Today I’ve encountered a crash issue with Adobe Illustrator!!! Actually It was not app itself, while I’m working on something in Illustrator CS3 and trying to save my file, it totally crashed without a warning, without a chance to saving any piece from your file… and it keep it that way no matter reboot the system or re-install the app.
I’ve randomly turned off some services that I don’t use frequently to squeeze any possible resource. I realized that I turned off Print Spooler service last week since I had rarely using any print service at home. So I’ve turned it back on, Whoa! Illustrator works again! Never, never turn off your Print Spooler service on your computer, otherwise Illustrator won’t work.
Unboxing my new Sony laptop
Hey! Just back to reality… another good news is that Sony eventually delivers its Santa Rosa FZ series product in China.
I’ve bought it on the first day of arrival, and it’s really amazing on both its sleek design and performance. The major features are: Core 2 Duo T7500, GeForce 8400GT (even though I’m not a gamer), a kick-ass wide screen with XBRITE technology, wireless, HDMI output… what else you can expect from? well… it’s a little bit bulky, it won’t be a perfect choice for travel weight, anyway so far so good~ it worth every penny.
Here are some snapshots I took a couple days ago:
I’m sick!
Ten days no updates? Sick! I’m sick! I have never been this bad since very long. Believe it or not, I just got back to work in order to pay my medical expensive bills since I live in a such harmonic country, where just holding the big ‘red evils’ congress. Who cares?
Anyway, tonight I’m working on some of my freelance project that delayed already, trying to keep up with the deadline. I also adjusted the font styles of my new theme (will be a update of my resurrection theme) in an effort to keep it consistent, improved many elements especially my sidebars. It will be a overall update this week on this blog, so make sure you’ll check back soon.
